RAPAS successfully developed the world's first commercially viable environmental solution technology, "organic matter decomposition by chemical reactions of hot titanium oxide catalyst," which has seven features and advantages shown below.
- An organic material is decomposed to harmless gas without burning.
- Decomposition treatment is conducted through a chemical reaction using the titanium oxide catalyst.
- The treatment is conducted at low temperature of about 500°C.
(The temperature in general incineration treatment is about 800°C to 1,200°C.)
- No organic material residue such as soot or ash is generated.
- Only an inorganic material contained in a treated material can be recovered.
- CO2 emissions can be reduced by using reaction heat generated through decomposition.
- The reaction heat generated through decomposition can be recovered and reused as energy.
